The WOOP programme is developed and managed by Adviza in cooperation with the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership, local colleges, enterprise business partners and specialist organisations.

Between March 2017 and July 2018 at least 6,000 people will be introduced to Berkshire’s Worlds of Opportunity, with focus on jobs and training in areas where there are skills shortages and where a science, technology, engineering or maths qualification are sought. We are particularly keen to get more girls and women engaged.

As well as events, WOOP is also offering graduate work placements and building a network of STEM champions to promote, recruit and train people in the skills the county needs.

WOOP also aims to improve the dialogue between educators and employers so that the right skills are taught and people are better prepared to meet future business needs and strengthen Berkshire’s ability to compete in a global economy.
