WOOP GameWagon

  • Edgbarrow School, Crowthorne Bracknell (map)

We've got a series of fun workshops lined up for students, running over two days, designed to get them excited about the world of work where science, technology, engineering or maths qualifications are essential.

Students will explore drone navigation and the physics of flight dynamics. Learn about flight control, introducing pitch, roll and yaw in relationship to Newton’s Law. They will create code to direct a Quad Copter around a course and investigate the process of making a physics based video game. A broken game will be investigated, tested and fixed.

And they will complete Mars Lander, a Robotics challenge themed around exploration of Mars. Creating an algorithm to navigate a robot around obstacles and collect Martian samples.

Students will also be provided information about career paths, including apprenticeships.
