NHS: Helping young people look after their Mental Health

  • The Bulmershe School The Bulmershe School Woodlands Avenue, Woodley, Reading RG5 3EU (map)

The Bulmershe School, RG5 3EU

NHS will deliver an activity that asks students to design an app aimed at young people to help them recognise mental health issues/struggles.  Students will be working in teams to understand what mental health is, how it impacts young people, what the barriers are to access support and the benefits of using a mobile phone app to engage with young people. Students will also have an understanding of the roles involved in this area and career opportunities available in the NHS.

Students will work with business volunteers from the NHS to understand how they currently use apps to engage with the community.
